As the Bloomington Bison continue to round out its roster for its inaugural season, they now have their first defenseman in the fold.

On Tuesday, the Bloomington Bison announced the signing of Reilly Webb, a 6-foot-4, right-handed defenseman, to a standard player contract for the 2024-25 season.

The 25-year-old native of Stoney Creek, Ontario, becomes the second signing in franchise history and the club's first defenseman. He'll be making his professional hockey debut with Bloomington after spending four seasons at Acadia University.

Webb helped Acadia make the playoffs the past three seasons. In 52 games, he potted three goals and six assists for nine points and recorded 91 penalty minutes.

Prior to Acadia, Webb spent five years in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), where he played for the Hamilton Bulldogs and the Saginaw Spirit.

During the 2014-15 season, Webb was a Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) U16 Kraft Cup Champion with the Toronto Titans. He scored 20 points in 32 contests that season. He was also named a Commonwealth Games champion that year.

In late July, forward Dalton Duhart became the first signed player in franchise history. Expect more signings to follow in the coming weeks.
