Cam Johnson picked up his first shutout of the season in the Florida Everblades' 1-0 win over the Orlando Solar Bears on Monday. Standouts and top performers from the game.

The Florida Everblades skated to a 1-0 win over the Orlando Solar Bears on Monday night. The Everblades outshot the Solar Bears 27-17, as Florida netminder Cam Johnson kept a clean sheet. The shutout marked Johnson's 13th of his career.

Following a relatively low-event first period, the Everblades broke through in the second period, which proved to be enough as Florida picked up their second win in the past three games against Orlando.

The win propelled the Everblades to a 7-2-0-0 record, while the loss dropped Orlando to 4-6-1-0 on the year.

Here are our standouts and top performers from Monday's lone ECHL game.

    #33 Cam Johnson (Florida)

Perhaps the most obvious, Cam Johnson was, in a word, brilliant for Florida on Monday evening. The 30-year-old goaltender made just 17 saves but stopped all eight in the third period when Orlando made a push.

Johnson picked up his fifth win in his sixth appearance this season. His 1.65 goals-against average is the fourth-best among ECHL goaltenders with at least four starts this season.

    #27 Tyler Kobryn (Florida)

Talk about making an immediate impact. Kobryn was signed by the Everblades prior to Monday's game and scored the lone goal in this one. The 27-year-old, who skated in three games with the Everblades last season, redirected Ben Brar's centering feed in the second period to light the lamp.. Kobryn finished his first game back with Florida with one goal on one shot and a +1 plus/minus rating.

    #20 Oliver Chau (Florida)

No points for Oliver Chau on Monday night, but it was not for a lack of effort. The veteran forward led all Florida skaters with five shots on goals, including three in the third period in an effort to extend the Everblades' lead. Chau's five shots marked a season-high as well.

    #37 Alexis Gravel (Orlando)

Credit where credit is due: Gravel kept this game from getting out of hand. The 24-year-old netminder, making his first start of the season and first in the ECHL start since 2021-22, turned aside 26-of-27. Gravel stopped all 12 in the third period to keep it a one-goal game and played an integral role in helping Orlando kill off all four penalties.
