Santino Centorame comes to Florida with 102 ECHL games under his belt.

The Kelly Cup Champion Florida Everblades announced Thursday they have agreed to terms with defenseman Santino Centorame for the 2024-25 season.

The 28-year-old defenseman from Mississauga, Ontario, is no stranger to the ECHL, having played in 102 games over the past two seasons.

During the 2022-23 season with the Trois Rivieres Lions, Centorame potted three goals and eight assists in 39 games. Last season with the Indy Fuel, Centorame recorded 23 points (4-19-23) over 63 games, adding a goal and two helpers in five Kelly Cup Playoff games.

Centorame also spent part of the 2022-23 season with the AHL's Laval Rocket, where he picked up one assist in 16 games.

Prior to turning pro, Centorame played five seasons of collegiate hockey with St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, scoring 18 goals and 57 assists for 75 points over 115 regular-season and postseason games.

The 5-foot-10 Centorame also played parts of five seasons of junior hockey with the georgetown Raiders of the Ontario Junior Hockey League, as well as the London Knights and Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League. He totaled 201 points (39-162-201) over 357 contests with those clubs.

In Centorame, the Everblades are getting a veteran defenseman who led all OHL blueliners with 66 points in his final season with the Sound Attack, and was also captain of the team for two of his four seasons there.
