    The Orlando Solar Bears are preparing for their South division Finals showdown with the Florida Everblades, and received some good news on Thursday.

    The team announced the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League (AHL) have loaned goaltender Ryan Fanti to the Solar Bears.

    The 25-year-old netminder appeared in 37 games this past regular season for Orlando, posting a 18-13-5 record with a 2.71 Goals-Against Average and a .907 save percentage.

    Fanti has also appeared in seven AHL games this season for Syracuse. He was called up from Orlando in late March, posting a 3-1-0 record, with a 1.45 GAA and a .946 SP.

    The Thunder Bay, Ontario native was named ECHL Goaltender of the Week twice during the regular season, most recently the week of March 10. During that period, he posted a 2-0 record, with a 0.95 GAA and .967 SP.

    In 88 ECHL games, Fanti has recorded a 42-35-6 record, a 3.02 GAA and.903 SP.

    Fanti signed a one-year AHL contract with the Crunch in the summer of 2024 after spending the previous season with the Fort Wayne Komets. He appeared in 17 games with Fort Wayne, posting a 9-6-2 record, 2.75 GAA and .915 SP.

    Game 1 of the South Division Finals is Friday in Estero, with puck drop scheduled for 7:30 Pm ET.
