The Adirondack Thunder announced the signing of forward Keanan Stewart to the roster for the 2024-25 season.
Stewart, who signed an ECHL standard player contract with the club, appeared in 16 games for the Cincinnati Cyclones last season after spending his collegiate career with Mercyhurst University, registering a goal and three assists for four points with Cincinnati.
At Mercyhurst, the Guelph, Ontario native played in 85 games and totaled 29 points (18-11-29).
During his senior season, Stewart was one of only three Lakers to post double digits in goals (10) over 31 games. He also scored three power play goals that season, tied for the club lead.
Prior to Mercyhurst, Stewart spent time with the OJHL's Burlington Cougars, where he recorded 52 points (30-22-52) in 54 contests during the 2019-20 season. He was named the club's MVP and top forward that season.
At 6-foot-3, Stewart gives the Thunder both size and versatility up front.
"He can play center or wing and has shown the ability to play a 200-foot game, adding depth to our forward group," Adirondack head coach Pete MacArthur said following Stewart's signing.
