The Iowa Heartlanders have re-signed forwards Will Calverley and Jonny Sorenson for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

The Iowa Heartlanders have re-signed forwards Will Calverley and Jonny Sorenson for the 2024-25 season.

Calverley, 25, is returning for his second season with the Heartlanders. The native of Scarborough, Ontario had career highs in goals (8), assists (13), and points (21) in 39 games last season. He briefly played with the Florida Everblades in 2022-23 after finishing his college career at Merrimack College.

Sorenson, 24, will be entering his first full professional season after joining Iowa late last year. The native of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, served as the captain of the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, where he tallied 15 points on eight goals and seven assists as a graduate student. Upon joining the Heartlanders, Sorenson tallied two goals and six points in 15 games.
