The Fuel re-sign one forward and one defenseman from last year's squad.

On Monday, the Indy Fuel announced the re-signing of forward Cam Hausinger and defenseman Nick Grima to standard player contracts for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

Hausinger, an Anchorage, Alaska native, came over to the Fuel following a trade with the Florida Everblades last March. He registered seven points in 15 games with Indy at the end of last season and picked up a goal and an assist in the Kelly Cup Playoffs.

The 5-foot-10 Hausinger also previously played for the Wheeling Nailers, where he potted 26 goals and 36 assists for 52 points in two seasons with that club from 2021 to 2023. He also tallied nine goals for Wheeling during the 2022 Kelly Cup Playoffs.

The 25-year-old right winger also had stints in the AHL with the Iowa Wild and Milwaukee Admirals in 2022-23, and played five seasons in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Saskatoon Blades, Kootenay Ice and Red Deer Rebels prior to his professional career.

In 2022, the Nashville Predators invited Hausinger to their main Training Camp and added him to their Prospect Showcase Roster.

Grima signed with the Fuel in March and recorded an assist in three games. Prior to that, the 25-year-old blueliner completed his fourth collegiate season with the University of Toronto, scoring 41 points in 67 games. He helped the Varsity Blues to the USports playoffs the last three seasons.

The 6-foot Toronto native was the leading scorer among blueliners on his team in 2023-24 and 2021-22 seasons with the Varsity Blues. Last season, he registered 22 points (5-17-22) in 28 regular-season and two playoff games and eight points (2-6-8) in all 17 regular-season games and one playoff contest for the Varsity Blues.
