The Fuel won their fourth straight game on Saturday while the Gladiators continue to slip to the bottom of the ECHL standings.

It was a wild Saturday night in Indy as the Fuel hosted the Atlanta Gladiators for Sock Toss Night, with the score only part of the story.

Fuel fans in attendance let the socks fly after Cam Hillis tied the game up in the second period, with the club collecting 6,343, the most ever recorded at a hockey game sock toss event, setting a new world record.

Atlanta would post back-to-back third-period goals to tie the score at three a piece, with overtime solving nothing.

Through six rounds, Hillis, Seamus Malone and Jon Martin scored while goaltender Mitchell Weeks stopped four shots to secure the 4-3 Fuel victory.

With the win the Fuel pushed their win streak to four straight, moving to 7-3 in their past 10 games. The Gladiators, meanwhile, pushed their record to 16-28-2-1 and have not won a game in regulation in their past six outings.
