The Jacksonville Icemen announced Thursday they have agreed to terms with forward Zach Jordan for 2024-25.
The 27-year-old Collinsville, Illinois native initially played for the Icemen in 2022-23, potting 17 goals and 9 assists for 26 points in 43 games, earning ECHL Player of the Week honors for the week of January 9-15, 2023.
Last season, Jordan split time between the ECHL's Indy Fuel and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs and Chicago Wolves.
In 22 games with the Fuel, Jordan scored 17 points (8-9-17). He has 65 points (38-27-65) in 105 career ECHL contests with the Icemen, Fuel and Kalamazoo Wings.
Jordan has also made 84 career AHL appearances with Rockford, Chicago, Hartford Wolf Pack and Cleveland Monsters.
Prior to turning pro, Jordan played his collegiate hockey at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, totaling 72 points (38-34-72) in 128 games. In 134 games with Omaha and Des Moines of the USHL, he posted 142 points (40-102-142).
The 6-foot-3, 216-pound forward will add both size and skill to the Icemen up front. The club has signed eight forwards and three defensemen as of August 8. Jacksonville opens its season October 19 against the Kelly Cup Champion Florida Everblades.
