The Tahoe Knight Monsters have announced their affiliation with the Vegas Golden Knights (NHL) and the Henderson Silver Knights (AHL).

The Tahoe Knight Monsters have announced their affiliation with the Vegas Golden Knights (NHL) and the Henderson Silver Knights (AHL). The news comes of little surprise in what many believed would transpire when the Knight Monsters were introduced as the ECHL's 29th franchise back in January.

While the league has made it clear that geography does not play a key role in affiliates, it certainly does not hurt to have the AHL and NHL clubs both within a relatively short drive or quick airplane ride away. That and the Tahoe Knight Monsters name made ECHL fans believe that Vegas would ultimately be the NHL franchise to connect with.

“We are very proud to be a part of the Golden Knights and Silver Knights families,” Knight Monsters Co-Owner David Hodges said in a statement. “Hockey in Nevada has continued to grow over the last seven-plus years and we’re excited to get going in late October.”

“Two critical goals in our organization are to develop strong hockey players and grow the game of hockey in Nevada,” said Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon. “Our new partnership with Tahoe ensures that our prospects will progress in a first-class environment, and our Hockey Operations personnel will work with a great business staff to bring an exciting product to a new fanbase. We are very pleased to welcome the Knight Monsters here to Nevada.”

In addition to revealing their NHL/AHL affiliations, the Tahoe Knight Monster also unveiled their jerseys ahead of their inaugural 2024-25 season. The franchise will utilize three jerseys this season: a black primary, a white primary, and a gold alternate, each consisting of different front and shoulder logos.

The Knight Monsters will debut their jerseys in the home opener on October 24 and 25 against the Jacksonville Icemen.
