Excitement continues to build in Lake Tahoe, as hockey fans eagerly await the start of a new era with the arrival of the Tahoe Knight Monsters.
The club continues to shape the first roster in its history, and added some offensive firepower after agreeing to terms with forward Shane Bull for the 2024-25 season.
The 24-year-old Bull finished the 2023-24 campaign with the Adirondack Thunder, scoring one goal in eight games.
The Whitby, Ontario native had a strong career in NCAA D3 hockey with SUNY-Oswego, totaling 84 points (34g 50a) in 72 games over four seasons.
As a senior, Bull finished fourth in D3 hockey with 22 goals scored and seventh with 42 total points in 26 games. He had a whopping 12 multi-point games, including six in one contest and two hat tricks.
Prior to his NCAA career, the 5-foot-10, 220-pound Bull played junior hockey with the Corpus Christi Rays of the NAHL in 2019. He posted 17 points (10g 7a) over 31 games. He also saw time with the Pickering Panthers in the OJHL.
With less than two months to go before the start of their inaugural season, the Knight Monsters have seven forwards and six defensemen on their roster. Their home opening weekend is October 24 and 25 against the Jacksonville Icemen at Tahoe Blue Event Center. Fans will be treated to a glow rod giveaway on Opening Knight, presented by Grey Kole Construction.
