The Tahoe Knight Monsters have signed their first player in franchise history. Forward Anthony Collins will skate with the ECHL's 29th franchise in the upcoming 2024-25 season after spending this past year with the Savannah Ghost Pirates.
Collins, 34, scored 11 points on three goals and eight assists in 2023-24 and brings a veteran presence to a team looking to establish its culture. Added, the Langley, British Columbia, native accumulated a career-high and an ECHL-leading 140 PIMs last season, establishing himself as a premier enforcer.
Prior to the Ghost Pirates, Collins has also skated with the Kalamazoo Wings, Norfolk Admirals, South Carolina Stingrays, Kansas City Mavericks, Atlanta Gladiators, Indy Fueld, Rapid City Rush, and Quad City Mallards.
He skated in a career-high 69 games with the Wings during the 2022-23 season and posted a career-high 14 points twice in 2019-20 with the Gladiators and again in 2016-17 with the Rush.
