    Komets Acquire Forward From Adirondack

    The Fort Wayne Komets have acquired forward Blake Murray from Adirondack for future considerations.

    Murray, 23, skated in 55 games with the Atlanta Gladiators before being traded to Adirondack earlier this week prior to the trade deadline. The 6-foot-2 left-shot forward scored 14 goals and 23 assists for 37 points with the Gladiators.

    Last season, Murray scored 47 points (19-28-47) with the Allen Americans.

    The Komets also claimed defenseman Jay Keranen off of waivers.

    Keranen, 26, appeared in 54 games with the Kalamazoo Wings before being released. The Brighton, Michigan native scored seven points (4-3-7) with the K-Wings.
