The Fort Wayne Komets have re-signed defensemen Noah Ganske, Martin Haš, and Mitch Andres and added rookie forward Randy Hernandez for the 2024-25 season, the team announced on Wednesday.
This marks Fort Wayne's second set of transactions in a span of three days after re-signing forwards Ethan Keppen and Nolan Volcan and adding rookie forward Austen Swankler on Monday.
Ganske, 25, just completed his first full professional season with the Komets after initially signing with the team in March 2023. The 6-foot-7 blueliner recorded 19 points on four goals and 15 assists during the 2023-24 season.
Haš, 23, joined the Komets just days before the start of the 2023-24 season after spending last year with the South Carolina Stingrays. The Washington Capitals' 2019 fifth-round draft selection recorded one goal and four assists for five points in 62 games last year.
Andres, 25, signed with Fort Wayne in mid-March after finishing up his graduate year at Robert Morris University, where he served as an alternate captain and scored four points (all assists). He skated in just one game with Komets but figures to see an increased role in his first full season.
Hernandez, 25, joins the Komets after completing his senior season at Canisius College last year, recording eight goals and 14 assists, making his 22 points the third-most on the roster.
Hernandez played junior hockey initially at the U.S. National Team Development Program in Plymouth, Michigan, before skating with the USHL's Sioux City Musketeers and Lincoln Stars and the AJHL's Brooks Bandits.
