The Kelly Cup Champion Florida Everblades have added a goaltender to their roster, agreeing to terms with David Tendeck for this coming season.
Tendeck, 24, re-joins the Everblades after appearing in 89 ECHL regular-season games over the past four seasons.
After launching his professional career with the AHL’s Tucson Roadrunners and the ECHL’s Rapid City Rush in 2020-21, the North Vancouver, British Columbia native posted a 2.78 goals against average and a .909 save percentage in 27 appearances with the Rush before joining the Atlanta Gladiators in 2022-23.
Last season, Tendeck split his time between the Wheeling Nailers and the Idaho Steelheads before finishing with the Everblades, for whom he posted a 3-0-0 record, a 0.99 GAA and a 0.972 save percentage.
Prior to turning pro, Tendeck played four full seasons of junior hockey with the WHL's Vancouver Giants. In 2017-18, he finished ninth in the WHL with 25 wins, and the Arizona Coyotes (now Utah Hockey Club) selected him in the sixth round (158th overall) in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.
Tendeck led the Giants to the Ed Chynoweth Cup Final before finishing his junior career with a 2.29 goals against average and a .920 save percentage at age 20.
Tendeck is the Giants’ all-time saves leader (3830). He also sits second on the club all-time in both games played (145) and wins (72).
