After spending two seasons in the ECHL, Brett Stapley is reportedly going to play for the HK Dukla Trencin team in Slovakia for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

The 25-year-old had an impressive 2023-24 season with the Utah Grizzlies, where he scored 24 goals and had a team-high 47 assists and 71 points. Despite signing a two-way contract with the AHL's Colorado Eagles in August last year, he spent the entire season in the ECHL.

Before joining the Grizzlies, Stapley played for the Trois-Rivieres Lions for one season, leading the team in assists (41) and points (52). He signed with the team after his senior season with the University of Denver, where he helped the Pioneers win the National Championship in 2022.

During his four seasons with Denver, Stapley scored 32 goals and accumulated 99 points.
