Kalamazoo Wings forward Collin Adams is set to play overseas after spending a year with the team. The 26-year-old has signed with HC Banska Bystrica in the Slovakian hockey league.
Adams, who joined the Wings last summer, had a standout season, tallying 43 points on 22 goals and 21 assists in 64 games, making him the fifth-highest scorer on Kalamazoo's roster.
Adams was originally drafted by the New York Islanders in the sixth round, 170th overall, in the 2016 NHL Draft. He spent part of the last three seasons in the ECHL, with the first two in Worcester. He also played for the AHL's Bridgeport Islanders during that time, recording eight goals and ten assists in 65 games.
It's worth noting that Kalamazoo has now lost all five of their top point-producers from last season. David Keefer, Josh Passolt, Erik Bradford, and now Adams have all signed deals with European clubs for the 2024-25 season. Additionally, Brad Morrison, who had 45 points last year, was claimed by South Carolina off waivers in mid-April.
