After a seven-game sample size with the ECHL's Rapid City Rush, defenseman Zach Taylor is heading to Slovakia for the 2024-25 season. The 24-year-old will join the HK 32 Liptovsky Mikulas club.
The Rush signed Taylor after three successful seasons at Brock University, where he led all defensemen in scoring over the last two years. With 23 points on seven goals and 16 assists during the 2023-24 campaign, Taylor was named the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) West Defenseman of the Year.
Upon joining Rapid City, the Sault Saint Marie, Ontario, native recorded a goal, six assists, and a +4 plus/minus rating in seven games played.
