Following a 105-point season with the OHL's Sarnia Sting, Ty Voit is white-hot to start his pro career with the ECHL's Growlers.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have a hot product on their hands at the ECHL level.
Ty Voit, a fifth-round pick for the Buds in 2021, has been white-hot for the Newfoundland Growlers.
In his first five professional games, Voit has put up two goals and eight points, scoring his first pro goal against the Maine Mariners at Mary Brown's Centre on December 9th.
The 20-year-old Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native was a cannon of offense for the Sarnia Sting of the OHL.
In his final junior season, Voit put up 24 goals and 105 points, adding another 16 points in 16 playoff games. Overall Voit collected 215 points in 183 games for Sarnia.
Voit should be a shoo-in for a long look with the AHL's Marlies in short order, and could feasibly contend for a roster slot with the Maple Leafs in the coming years.
The big question is, how high of a ceiling does the kid have?
