Deveaux had 13 goals and 24 points in his first full ECHL season
The Maine Mariners have inked their first player for the 2024-25 season, re-signing forward Wyllum Deveaux on Monday.
The 23-year-old had 24 points on 13 goals and 11 assists in 46 games for the Mariners during the 2023-24 season, his first full ECHL campaign after signing with Maine during the offseason.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound forward had a quiet start to his tenure, recording just three points in his first 15 games. However, Deveaux closed out the first half of 2023-24 with three goals and four assists over the final six games heading into the All-Star break.
In the second half, the Mariners forward tallied seven goals and three assists for 10 points and had two multi-point efforts.
Deveaux's lone goal of the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs came in Game 1 of the North Division Semifinals against the Adirondack Thunder.
Prior to the postseason, Deveaux was signed to an amateur tryout (ATO) by the AHL's Providence Bruins and skated in one game before being returned to the Mariners.
