Zieky is heading to France after posting career highs with the Maine Mariners in the 2023-24 season

Chase Zieky is heading overseas. The 28-year-old's tenure with the ECHL's Maine Mariners comes to a close after signing a contract for the 2024-25 season with Gap of the Ligue Magnus, France's top hockey league.

After graduating from RPI, Zieky has spent the last three seasons in the ECHL. During that time, he played for the Idaho Steelheads, Greenville Swamp Rabbits, Wheeling Nailers, and the Maine Mariners.

This past season, Zieky enjoyed a breakout campaign, posting career highs in goals (17), assists (20), and points (37). He was Maine's fifth-highest scorer during the 2023–24 ECHL season.

Despite a slow start to the year—just one point in his first six games and seven points in the first half—Zieky picked it up following the All-Star break, collecting four goals and 12 points in the first nine games.

He enjoyed his best stretch of the season from mid-February to mid-March, tallying 17 points on nine goals and eight assists in 14 games.

Zieky recorded a goal and an assist in the playoffs, both coming in Game 4 of the North Division Semifinals against the Adirondack Thunder.
