Schoonbaert had nine goals and 12 assists for 21 points in his first professional season last year

The Kansas City Mavericks have re-signed forward Bradley Schoonbaert for the upcoming 2024-25 season. The 26-year-old recorded 21 points on nine goals and 12 assists for the Western Conference-winning Mavericks this past season.

Schoonbaert initially signed with the club last summer after completing his senior season at the University of Calgary, where he tallied ten goals and 15 assists for 25 points during the 2022-23 campaign.

The Brandon, Manitoba, native potted his first two ECHL goals against Idaho on January 12, kick-starting a five-game streak in which Schoonbaert scored five goals and nine points.

Schoonbaert tallied his second multi-goal performance against Iowa before the end of the season. He tallied two goals in the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs, including the Mavericks' first postseason goal in Game 1 of the first round against Tulsa, and three points.
