The 27-year-old left-shot defenseman has signed a one-year deal [https://thehockeynews.com/ahl/latest-news/former-bakersfield-condors-defenseman-kyle-mayhew-signs-in-germany]in Germany with Augsburger Panther, according to reports Sunday. Mayhew, an Anaheim Hills, Calif. native, split time this past season between the Komets and Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League [https://thehockeynews.com/ahl/]. The 5-foot-8, 192-pound Mayhew totaled 11 goals and 41 assists for 52 points in 60 regular-season games with the Komets. Mayhew also earned ECHL Defenseman of the Year [https://thehockeynews.com/echl/latest-news/komets-mayhew-named-echl-defenseman-of-the-year]honors this season. He led all ECHL blueliners - and was tied for fourth overall in the league - with 27 power-play points, while ranking second with 22 power-play assists and third with five power-play goals. Mayhew also appeared in 11 post-season games with Fort Wayne, collecting nine points (1-8-9). In 17 career AHL games with the Condors and the Colorado Eagles, Mayhew put up 10 points (2-8-10).
