NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Forward Pickups March 23 - Pittsburgh's Rust Certainly Not Dealing with Any Offensively

On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.

Teuvo Teravainen, LW/RW, CHI vs. PHI (21% rostered)
Turbo was stuck in park Saturday in the Blackhawks' 4-1 loss to the Blues, failing to notch a point. That does not detract from what he has done offensively since February 1, as the winger is a point-per-game player in that stretch. Teravainen has four goals and 15 assists in 19 games with five of those points coming on the man advantage. He is up to 15 marker and 30 apples in 70 contests, making his prior year production.

    JJ Peterka, LW/RW, BUF @ WPG (42%)
Peterka has very quietly earned at least one point in nine of his last 11 outings. That hot stretch has upped his season totals to 20 goals and 32 assists, setting a new career-high for the second straight campaign. Drafted in second round, 54 overall in 2020, Peterka, skating on Buffalo's top trio, is in line for a big contract this offseason as his entry level deal expires.

Bryan Rust, LW, PIT @ FLA (46% rostered)
Rust is having a good March, even though his production has been uneven in the month. His goal and assist Friday was fifth time in 10 contests this month that Rust has put his name on the scoresheet, though he's racked up three goals and six helpers. This is the second straight season Rust has broken the 50-point barrier and he has a chance to match his career-high 58 points from the 2021-22 campaign.

Fedor Svechkov, C, NSH @ STL (0% rostered)
Svechkov notched a pair of assists, including one on the power play, Saturday. Those two apples broke a four-game pointless streak for Svechkov, who has been seeing consistent ice time as the Predators' third-line center while also skating on the second power-play unit. Selected in the first round, 19 overall in 2021, Svehckov is up to six goals and seven helpers in 37 games in this his rookie campaign.

Ivan Barbashev, C/LW, LV vs. TB (32% rostered)
Barbashev notched a pair of assists Saturday, giving him 25 helpers for the season. Those two points moved Barbashev's season total to 45, matching his output from each of the past two campaigns. An injury cost Barbashev 10 games in late-December and early-January, with that absence and a slump thereafter keeping his point total down slightly following his extremely hot start. But Barbashev looks to be back on the beam skating on Vegas' top line.

Troy Terry, C/RW, ANA vs. CAR (29% rostered)
Terry has exceeded the 50-point mark for the fourth straight season. In addition, he has cracked the scoresheet for the fifth time over his last eight appearances, a stretch in which he's accounted for two goals and four assists. Despite Anaheim's minus-30 goal differential, Terry is a plus-six, further showing his value. He sits just one shy of hitting the 20-goal plateau for the fourth straight season.

Morgan Geekie, C/LW/RW, BOS @ LA (15% rostered)
Geekie has thrived since arriving in Boston from Seattle. He notched 39 points last season, a jump of 16 from his last year with the Kraken. This season. he has raised his production since the 4 Nations Face-Off break, earning seven goals and two assists over 13 contests in that span. Overall, he's at 24 goals, 38 points, 129 shots on net, 93 hits and a plus-2 rating through 65 appearances, putting him on pace for several new career-highs.
