On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.
Shea Theodore, D, VGK at ANA (94% rostered) - FanDuel $5,600
The lack of PP1 is a bummer, but it hasn’t stopped Theodore from racking up two goals and five assists in his past six games, two of which have come on the power play. The Ducks PK ranks 25th in the league and Theodore has historically been very good against his former team, scoring seven goals and 24 points in 31 career games, including five points in four games last season. Given his track record and recent scoring streak, he can potentially provide outsized value in DFS games.
Oliver Ekman-Larsson, D, TOR at MTL (48% rostered) - FanDuel $5,400
Ekman-Larsson’s production has really turned him into one of season’s hidden gems. An assist against the Jackets extended his points streak to five games and gives him 15 points in 21 games this season. His current 58-point pace puts him on a path to set a career high, and this is a potentially great matchup against a team that’s lost seven of their last eight and allowed 27 goals in their past five games.
Darren Raddysh, D, TB at WSH (5% rostered) - FanDuel $5,200
Look for Raddysh’s fantasy value to keep climbing as the Lightning announce Victor Hedman is out week-to-week. He’s the top replacement for Hedman on the power play and has a history of being able to generate offense. He assisted on Jake Guentzel’s overtime winner against the Oilers, his fifth point in three games. Raddysh can be a great short-term hold in fantasy leagues while Hedman returns or a strong value play in DFS games.
