EA SPORTS NHL announced that Colorado Avalanche star defenseman, Cale Makar is the cover Athlete of NHL 24, featuring both Standard and X-Factor Editions.
The 24-year-old Calgary native has had a phenomenal NHL career so far. During the 2022-2023 season, Makar tallied 17 goals and 49 assists for 66 points. His personal best was 86 points in the 2021-2022 season. He is the fastest NHL defenceman to reach 200 points.
The Stanley Cup champion, Calder, and Norris trophy winner is the third Avalanche to star on an EA NHL video game cover, alongside Peter Forsberg (NHL '98) and Joe Sakic (NHL ‘04).
