@EASPORTSNHL has announced that some updates will be coming to the game very soon. Patch 1.1.1 will be dropping on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023 at 12pm eastern time. With it, we will see some much needed updates, including a few highly requested ones.
In a post by community manager @TheClapperton, it is revealed that Hybrid Controls, Updated Goalie Controls, and Optional Goalie Tethering will be coming in patch 1.1.1.
These changes are expected to be well received by gamers, especially from goalies who have been struggling with the Tether system. Those who have played the goalie position often complain about how the tether system pulls them into unwanted positions, or sometimes leaves small gaps that can be exposed by certain X-Factors on the opposing side of the puck such as Close Quarters. Goaltending in NHL 24 should be significantly improved after this patch.
