Connor Hellebuyck, Stuart Skinner, Connor Ingram, and Joey Daccord received changes in NHL 24

With the latest NHL 24 patch came a roster update that saw a lot of changes in player overalls. The entire list of players who received increases and decreases to their overall can be found here.
Below is a breakdown of the goalies from the Western Conference who received a significant bump in their NHL 24 overall.

Connor Hellebuyck, Winnipeg Jets: 90-92
Hellebuyck is seen as the front-runner for the Vezina Trophy at the midway point of the season. His best season was in 2017-18, where he posted an incredible 44-11-9 record while sporting a .923 SV% and a 2.36 GAA. That same year, Winnipeg went to the Western Conference Finals before getting ousted by Vegas.
He's on pace to have his fourth <.920 SV% season, and he has been a major factor in Winnipeg's success this season. Hellebuyck sits first in both SV% and GAA in the NHL amongst goalies with a minimum of 20 games played. He is now the highest-rated player on Winnipeg in NHL 24.
Hellebuyck was also voted in the top 10 of TSN's recent top 25 NHL players this season.
Connor Ingram, Arizona Coyotes: 82-85
Ingram has taken over the crease in the Grand Canyon state. He struggled at times last year, posting a 6-13-8 record, but had a .907 SV%. Teammate Karel Vejmelka emerged as the Coyotes starting netminder, but this year has taken a step back. That has allowed Ingram to be the guy for Arizona, and he has exceeded expectations.
He's tied for eighth in wins, and his .916 SV% is sixth best. His teammate Clayton Keller will be in Toronto this weekend for the All-Star game, but it feels like Ingram was snubbed and has been as impactful as Keller has been for Arizona this season.
He is tied with Thatcher Demko and Tristan Jarry for the most shutouts (five) this season and tied with five other goalies for the most points with two assists. You can't help but root for Ingram when considering his history and when he voluntarily entered the NHL/NHLPA's player assistance program in 2021.
Stuart Skinner, Edmonton Oilers: 82-84
The Edmonton Oilers had a massive issue in net to start the season. Skinner had averaged a .861 SV% through his first 15 games of the year. Since then, he's averaged an impressive .928 and has solidified the net on their historic 16-game winning streak.
Since Nov. 22, when Skinner got pulled in the first period against Carolina after allowing four goals on 12 shots, he's been outstanding in net. His record since that game is 19-2. He's gone from looking like a potential problem in net to the Oilers' savior.
The Oilers' win streak hasn't just been from McDavid and Draisaitl carrying them and getting four points a night. It's been the goaltending and defensive structure that has led the way. Skinner hasn't allowed three or more goals in a game since Dec. 22 against the Rangers. The Oilers won that game and started Skinner's 12-game winning streak, where he has also recorded a .900 SV% or better in every one of those games.
Joey Daccord, Seattle Kraken: 80-83
Joey Daccord is too old (27) to be nominated for the Calder Trophy, but he'd certainly be in the discussion if he was eligible. He was Seattle's third-string goalie last season and was terrific in the AHL for Coachella. After the Kraken let Martin Jones go, the opportunity for Daccord to backup Philipp Grubauer arose.
Grubauer's inconsistent play and injury pushed Daccord into the starting role in early December, and he's taken off ever since then. He rattled off an eight-game win streak between late December and mid-January. His SV% (.921) and GAA (2.32) are near the top of the league, and he deserves to be an all-star. He's a character guy off the ice who likes to crack jokes and keep things light with his teammates.
Daccord isn't the most technically sound goaltender, but his explosive athleticism allows him to battle and make highlight-reel saves. We'll see if he will hold the crease with Grubauer returning from injury, but he definitely hasn't played his way out of the net.
