Throughout the week EA SPORTS NHL rolled out its player ratings for NHL 24, focusing on the best players in various positions. Today, EA SPORTS NHL has revealed the top 50 players in NHL 24.
Once again, the Edmonton Oilers’ Connor McDavid tops the EA SPORTS NHL player ratings with an overall rating of 97. Cale Makar, Leon Draisaitl, Nathan MacKinnon, and David Pastrnak round out the top five with an overall rating of 95 each.

There are a few players that made the top 50 that are worth elaborating on. Matthew Tkachuk of the Florida Panthers is the 6th best player in the game, with an overall rating of 94. In NHL 23, Tkachuk had an overall rating of 90, which was good for 23rd. However, the star forward had an exceptional playoff run with his team, putting up 11 goals and 13 assists for 24 points in 20 games. He was a catalyst in helping his team overcome the Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Carolina Hurricanes en route to a Stanley Cup Finals matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Andrei Vasilevskiy with an overall rating of 93 is the 13th-ranked player in NHL 24 and 1st among goaltenders. Vasilevskiy put up a 34-4-2 record with a 2.65 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage last season. Interestingly, the Vezina Trophy winner, Linus Ullmark of the Boston Bruins is receiving a 90 overall rating, good for 42nd on EA SPORTS NHL’s top 50 players in NHL 24, and 5th among goaltenders. Ullmark had a spectacular season with the Boston Bruins, bolstering a 40-6-1 record, a 1.89 goals-against average, and a .938 save percentage. It is important to note that Ullmark was neither among the top 50 players in NHL 23 nor the top 10 goaltenders. Should Ullmark continue with another great season, chel fans can expect his overall rating to go even higher during the season and in future EA SPORTS NHL titles.
