The final series prediction in our NHL 24 simulation series is here with the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers set to face off in the Stanley Cup Finals later tonight.
The Oilers last reached the finals in 2006 when they lost to the Carolina Hurricanes in seven games, while the Panthers lost in last seasons Stanley Cup Final in five games to Vegas.
After a simulation that was all over the place Florida was able to defeat Edmonton 2-1 in Game 7 to win the Stanley Cup, erasing a 3-1 series deficit.
The EA SPORTS official simulation also had the Panthers winning in seven games.

The Oilers did not get enough from their star players, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl combined for only nine points and finished a cumulative -4.
Florida on the other hand had Sam Reinhart, Aleksander Barkov, and Vladimir Tarasenko combine for 21 points and three game winning goals.
Both Stuart Skinner and Sergei Bobrovsky had great series, finishing with nearly identical stats. Skinner's save percentage was one point higher than Bobrovsky and he allowed one less goal.
Florida fans hope both our and EA SPORTS' simulations are accurate, while Edmonton fans hope for a better result.
