Who advances to the Western Conference Final in NHL 24?
With the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks series as final matchup to get underway in the second round of the NHL playoffs we decided to simulate the series in NHL 24 to see who advances to the Western Conference Final.
The Oilers were able to win this series 4-2 after receiving great performances from Leon Draisaitl and Stuart Skinner.
We inserted Connor Brown for Adam Henrique for this simulation as Henrique will not play in Game 1. Vancouver's lineup remained the same as their final game against Nashville, with Arturs Silovs starting in net.

Goaltending made a significant difference in this simulation, Skinner posted a .902 save percentage compared to Silovs' .880. The Canucks were able to get their chances, putting up 227 shots on goal in six games.
Due to the unpredictability of Vancouver's goaltending we left Silovs in for the entire series, but it is possible Casey DeSmith or Thatcher Demko return in real life.
J.T. Miller lead Vancouver in scoring despite not being able to find the back of the net, putting up nine assists. Brock Boeser lead the team with six goals. Elias Pettersson did not play up to standard, finishing with four assists and a minus six.
Leon Draisaitl lead the Oilers in points with eight, while Zach Hyman continued his goal scoring rampage, notching five in six games.
Oilers fans will certainly take this result in real life, but either way we will see a Canadian team advance to the next round.
