Simulating Game 3 between Florida vs. Boston in NHL 24.

NHL 24 has predicted the correct winner in the first two games of the Boston versus Florida second-round series. Can they make it 3/3 tonight?

The series ships out to Boston for Game 3 tonight where you can bet your money that the TD Garden faithful will be in full force.

Florida Head Coach Paul Maurice told the media today that Sam Bennett will take warm-ups tonight. However, considering he was not participating on his usual line in the morning skate. We are assuming that he will not play tonight.

The Panthers lineup we used are the lines that we saw at their morning skate.

    Florida's Projected Lines:

    Tarasenko - Barkov - Reinhart
    Verhaeghe - Lundell - Tkachuk
    Luostarinen - Stenlund - Rodrigues
    Cousins - Lorentz - Okposo

    Forsling - Ekblad
    Mikkola - Montour
    Ekman-Larsson - Kulikov

    Bobrovsky
    Stolarz

Boston Head Coach Jim Montgomery continues to hide his lineup changes to the media before games. I'm sure the betting books hate him for this. Regardless, our Bruins Site Editor Belle Fraser has reported that Boston will be making a change in their lineup up front at forward and that defenceman Andrew Peeke is available to play.

She also reported that Montgomery has made a decision on who starts in net tonight, but again, won't disclose who will occupy Boston’s crease.

Due to the uncertainty around the Bruins' lineup, the lines we used in the simulation replicate the ones they used in Game 2.

    Boston's Projected Lines:

    Zacha - Geekie - Pastrnak
    Marchand - Coyle - DeBrusk
Van Riemsdyk - Frederic - Brazeau
    Beecher - Boqvist - Maroon

    Lohrei - McAvoy
    Lindholm - Carlo
    Forbort - Wotherspoon

    Swayman
    Ullmark

The Bruins dominated the opening frame outshooting Florida 15-4 yet only led 3-2. Charlie Coyle's two-goal second period proved to be the difference in the simulation as Boston took Game 3 by a score of 6-3.

The stars of the show were Charlie Coyle and Brad Marchand with both recording four-point games.

Sergei Bobrovsky had himself a rough outing and was pulled after allowing six goals on 29 shots.
