Introducing Next-Gen Characters in NHL 25

Visual improvements coming to player characters in NHL 25

Significant visual changes are coming to NHL 25 characters.

EA Sports NHL has announced they have implemented SAPIEN Technology to go along with the Frostbite Engine to overhaul visual aspects of the NHL video game series.

With NHL 25 being the first edition of the series that will released exclusively on next-gen consoles, the consoles themselves allow for better resolution, frame rates, and more responsive gameplay than previous editions that also had to cater to older consoles. 

EA Sports NHL teased photos of some characters on their official X account, additional screenshots of the cover stars are embedded below.

With the new changes to skating and these visual improvements, we are excited to see how the new technology will impact the NHL 25 experience.
