Islanders enter a second eSport
On Friday the New York Islanders and Isles Gaming Team announced that they will be the first NHL team to enter a team in the NBA2KLeague Community 3v3 Tournament.
The members of the team are Jack "JBM" Mascone, Dario "Dario" Pileggi, Brandon "Cruxify" Robertson and Deontie "Draco" Wromley.
The Islanders operating teams in two different eSports will be extremely beneficial in growing an audience for both teams while expanding the Islanders brand.
Already one of the few NHL teams who operate a NHL Gaming team it is great to see the Islanders double down and expand on their commitment to eSports.
Hopefully we will see content collaborations between the two teams.
The Isles Gaming NHL held their Club Championship last week, while their 6v6 squad recently took home the SJSharks Gaming Pacific Cup title. They look to qualify for the CapsGaming LAN in March.
The Isles 2K will compete in the SLAM tournament on February 26th.
