Simulating the Lighting vs. Panthers playoff series in NHL 24

Another entry into our NHL 24 playoff simulations, today we look at the Tampa Bay Lightning against the defending Eastern Conference Champion Florida Panthers.

The Panthers defeated the Lightning 2-1 in their season series, but the Lightning swept the Presidents Trophy winning Panthers two seasons ago when these two last met in the playoffs

This simulation drastically favored the Lightning, and they were able to down the Panthers in five games.

Steven Stamkos lead both the Lightning and the series in points, finishing with nine assists and zero goals in five games.

Brayden Point and Brandon Hagel lead the Lightning in goals with three apiece. The Lightning were able to win convincingly in this simulation with the Art Ross Trophy winner Nikita Kucherov only recording three points.

Sam Bennett and Matthew Tkachuk lead the Panthers in goals with three each, while Tkachuk lead them in points with seven.

Andrei Vasilevskiy added another chapter to his playoff dominance, allowing only 13 goals and posting a .928 save percentage.

Sergei Bobrovsky was not able to replicate his play that took the Panthers to the Stanley Cup Finals last season, posting an underwhelming .888 save percentage.
