PWHL added to the game, successful Skill-Based One-Timers accuracy reduced in new update

A new patch in NHL 25 will be going live at 1pm EST on Dec. 5, bringing the PWHL to the game for the first time along with several gameplay fixes.

The major addition with this patch is the implementation of the PWHL. The league will be available in Play Now, PWHL Season Mode, Shootout, Online Versus, and Hockey Ultimate Team, jerseys will be in World of Chel.

Significant gameplay changes include AI forechecking improvements and reduced accuracy bonus on successful Skill-Based One-Timers. This should dramatically change the meta playstyle in the game.

Considerable updates were made to Franchise Mode including these notes from the blog:

New scheme fit conversations were added and can be accessed within existing save files. Moreover, numerous fixes were made in the mode.

World of Chel also had many issues addressed in this new patch. The most impactful include fixing multiple screen wipes after goals, fixing an issue where a pulled goalie did not return after a penalty shot, and fixes to matchmaking and crashing.

Crashes were fixed that occurred when saving a female character in WoC and Be A Pro. Crashes were also addressed in Creation Zone. Players can now also select 2024 as a draft year for a created player.

Multiple presentation fixes to audio, camera, animation, and broadcast will be implemented.

Many art updates were made to head coaches and equipment, while updating the center ice art for numerous teams.

A reminder server instability could last up to one hour after the update goes live.
