Full cross-play in NHL 24 will significantly elevate the experience of NHL gaming.
In an 8-minute video published by EA SPORTS NHL, the development leads, Mike Inglehart and Chris Haluke, announced that complete cross-play functionality will be part of NHL 24’s World of Chel. For the first time, players on same-generation consoles (Xbox and Playstation) can finally team up and play together.
The implications for this are enormous. As a highly connected social game, full cross-play functionality will elevate the experience of NHL video games. Chel 6v6 eSports will also reach new heights due to full cross-play.
Chris and Mike also hinted at other aspects of NHL 24, including a revamped gameplay and a keen approach to connecting with the chel community.
Anticipation regarding the innovations is rising, and additional insights will be revealed during the NHL 24 premiere on Wednesday, August 16, at 11 am EDT.
