Players can now play NHL 24 on PC through the cloud

NHL 24 has now been available on PC via cloud gaming with Xbox for about two months, here is what you need to know and how it runs.
Players have long hoped for the NHL franchise to become available on PC via Steam or another outlet, and until now there had been no way to play recent NHL games on PC. The last NHL game to receive a PC release was NHL 09.
In order to play you will need to purchase the Ultimate Game Pass on the Xbox app on PC. You can then run and play the game through the Cloud without any download required. The Ultimate Pass costs $22.99 CAD per month.
Cloud gaming only allows one player and account at one time, and requires a controller.
This also allows players to play NHL 24 via mobile consoles like Legion Go or Steam Deck.
Cloud gaming works by streaming the game rather than downloading and running it, so some players have reported inconsistent connections and input lag, but it seems to be running smoothly for the majority of players.
Player counts for individual games are not visible on Xbox but cloud gaming reportedly has over 10 million users and accounts for 10% total play time on Xbox devices.

There has been no announcement as to whether or not NHL 25 will be available via Cloud Gaming.
