Would the Byram and Mittelstadt one-for-one trade go through in NHL 24?

Would the Byram and Mittelstadt one-for-one trade go through in NHL 24?

EA SPORTS NHL 24 - NHL 24 Trade Attempts: Bowen Byram And Casey Mittelstadt Trade

Wednesday has dropped a flurry of deals across the NHL. One of the biggest deals was a one-for-one deal between Colorado and Buffalo. In the video above, we see if the same deal would go through in NHL 24.

Colorado parted ways with their 22-year-old defenseman Bowen Byram — who was terrific for them the year they won the Stanley Cup — in exchange for 25-year-old forward Casey Mittelstadt.

Mittelstadt set a career-high in points last year (59) after struggling in his first four seasons in the NHL. At the time of the trade, Casey led Buffalo in scoring with 47 points, tied for first in plus-minus (plus-12), and had the second-highest TOI/GP among Buffalo forwards with 18:16.

He's slated to jump into Colorado's lineup and play as their second-line center.

Bowen Byram has 20 points in 55 games, but his ice time has dropped this year, and rumors started flying around that he was expendable within the Avs' organization.

Buffalo now has a stout defense core headlined by Rasmus Dahlin, Owen Power, Mattias Samuelsson, and now Bowen Byram. The oldest are Samuelsson and Dahlin, at only 23 years old. The Sabres are trending in the right direction.
