Does New Jersey accept the trade in NHL 24?

The Winnipeg Jets continued to add to their team during the NHL Trade Deadline, acquiring sniper Tyler Toffoli from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for a 2024 third round pick and a 2025 second round pick.

This is the third time in his career that Toffoli has been traded, and he has consistently scored goals no matter where he goes.

The 31-year-old has 26 goals and 44 points in 61 games this season. The Devils retained 50% of his salary.

Given the reported long line of suitors for Toffoli we wanted to see if this trade would go through in NHL 24.

Toffoli to WPG

Toffoli was having a similarly strong season in the simulation, and the Devils denied Winnipeg's trade offer, saying they were totally unwilling to part with the Scarborough native.

The trade did go through when we played as the Devils and proposed the deal to Winnipeg as the Jets were ecstatic to make the deal. We did have to include a minor league player to make the contracts work.

Toffoli should provide some goal scoring prowess to an already strong Winnipeg team, and NHL 24 thinks they won the trade.
