With reports that there has not been much discussion between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Timothy Liljegren we wanted to see what the best trade offers we could get for the defender in NHL 24.
A 25-year-old right handed RFA defenseman will likely have a decent amount of suitors, even if there are some questions over what role Liljegren thrives best in.
We searched for trades for Liljegren at the NHL draft with an open trade block and received 25 total offers from 13 different teams.
Liljegren posted 32 points in 82 games while playing 25 minutes a game in the simulation. He had 23 points in 55 games averaging 19:39 of ice time in real life.

The most interesting trade offers were Boston offering Mason Lohrei, Dallas offering Christian Kyrou, Edmonton offering Xavier Bourgault, and Pittsburgh offering Brayden Yager.
We also received offers that included several veteran players such as Luke Schenn, Ondrej Palat, and Jordan Staal.
While it is unlikely any of these young players would be a realistic return, it would be reasonable for another team to assume they can unlock some unrealized potential in Liljegren.
One funny trade proposal was Arizona offering Alex Kerfoot and Travis Boyd, two former Leafs, in return.
If the Leafs do decide to move on from Liljegren, NHL 24 thinks they will have lots of suitors.
