Checking out the four new Captain cards in NHL 24 HUT
Friday, EA SPORTS released four new Captain cards in NHL 24 HUT. These cards featured an incredibly fast Dylan Larkin and a much deserved upgrade to the Flyers new captain, Sean Couturier.
Let's take a look and break down these new cards.

Dylan Larkin - C, PLY
Larkin easily is the best card out of the four due to him having almost maxed out speed and acceleration. Activating two of his synergies, Playmaking Forward and Playmaking Boost, will get his agility up to 99. It also has Wheels and Elite Edges as superstar abilities.
Born Leader is its zone ability (like it is for every Captains card) and the other silver trait is Ankle Breaker. Activating those same synergies previously mentioned, will get this card up to 99 deking and 97 passing.
Overall, a terrific card that Red Wings fans will immediately want to grab. It's being sold on the auction house for around 140,000 coins.
Sean Couturier - C, TWF
Philadelphia named Couturier as their 20th captain in franchise history and EA rewarded him with a big upgrade from his base gold 82 overall card in HUT. Anyone with a Flyers theme team can finally have a Couturier card in their lineup.
He's an average skater in real life, but they did give his new card 92 speed and acceleration. The superstar abilities are Close Quarters, Unstoppable Force, and Shock and Awe.
Boone Jenner - C, TWF
Blue Jackets captain Boone Jenner received an 89 overall all-star card recently, but that card wasn't any good. His new Captains card is far better with 92 speed and acceleration, 97 faceoffs that can get up to 99 (plus it has silver Quick Draw), and excellent checking and defensive stats.
The other superstar abilities he has are Crease Crasher and Big Tipper. Big Tipper can be fun to use while Crease Crasher is a very niche ability. Activating the Checking Boost synergy can get this cards body checking up to 99.
Nico Hischier - C, TWF
New Jersey's captain Hischier has been on fire lately. He's recorded a multi-point game in five of his last eight and has 12 points in that stretch. His new card has good skating stats with 93 speed, acceleration, and agility.
The defensive stats on it are very strong and get up to 98 stick checking and 97 defensive awareness with the Two-Way Forward synergy activated. Its superstar abilities are No Contest, Yoink (one the worst abilities in the game), and Close Quarters.
