Frank Nazar created player in NHL 24

Chicago Blackhawks top prospect Frank Nazar has officially signed his entry-level contract with the team after his Michigan Wolverines team lost in the semifinals of the NCAA Frozen Four.

The 13th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, Nazar missed all but 13 games during his freshman season due to hip surgery. He rebounded this season, scoring 17 goals and 41 points in 41 games.

Given that NCAA players do not have characters in NHL 24, we wanted to predict what his card will look like before the next roster update.

Nazar finished sixth in scoring on his Michigan team, and he will become the 18th player from his draft class to play a NHL game.

We decided to give Nazar medium top-six potential, matching up with Conor Geekie and Denton Mateychuk - who is a medium top four - the two players chosen right before Nazar in the draft. This puts him a step below many of the players who were chosen in the top 10, as most of them are rated Medium Elite.

The 20-year-old is on the smaller side but is a fantastic skater and is incredibly quick. A pass first forward, Nazar is a good offensive player and is set to center Jason Dickinson and Joey Anderson in his first game.

We gave Nazar Elite Edges as a Zone Ability and Tape to Tape and Wheels as Superstar Abilities to emphasize his passing and skating skills.

With lots of room to grow we feel 78 is a fair starting overall for Nazar, who could very well get an overall boost when he receives his first official player from EA.
