    Who will sign the 30-year-old?

With Florida Panthers defenseman Brandon Montour set to hit free agency we simulated free agency in NHL 24 to see what he could be looking for and who will sign him.

Montour's three-year, $10.5 million contract that pays him $3.5 million annually is set to expire after the Stanley Cup Finals and the right-handed offensive defenseman will have plenty of suitors.

Montour had 33 points in 66 games this season and has added 11 points in 22 playoff games. In the simulation Montour put up a similar pace, recording 57 points in 82 games.

He wanted four years at eight million per year from Florida, and wanted nine and a half million on a maximum eight year contract.

After having ten teams interest in free agency Montour ultimately sign a four-year deal that pays him $8.500,000 million annually with the St. Louis Blues.

The Panthers do have several players to sign so it will be hard to fit him back onto the team unless he takes a hometown discount. With the Blues looking to shake things up we could see them pursuing Montour come July 1st.
