Another entry into our NHL 24 free agency prediction series, today we are looking at Kevin Labanc.
Labanc is an interesting case study, he recorded 56 points with the Sharks in the 2018-19 season but his production has declined since as the Sharks have continued to get worse.
In an injury plagued 2023-24 season, Labanc finished with nine points in 46 games. The 28-year-old has shown an ability to play with elite players and could be a sneaky good signing for someone later this summer.

We played Labanc in 46 games in the simulation to mimic his real life season, and he only put up three points.
The Staten Island, NY, native only asked for $850,000 on a one-year deal from the Sharks.
He ended up signing a two-year deal worth $930,000 annually with the Winnipeg Jets, a deal that would make sense for both sides in real life.
Labanc could get his value back playing on a good team, while the Jets get a winger who has shown offensive talent in the past. It would also provide another depth option if they do end up trading Nikolaj Ehlers.
