Tyson Barrie is still on the free agent market despite posting 55 points in 85 total games in the 2022-23 season. With his puck moving skills likely to land him a contract before the season starts, we predicted where he will sign using NHL 24.
After only playing 43 games for the Predators this season Barrie played in one playoff game and notched an assist.
Barrie will be 33 before next season and could bring veteran leadership and the ability to quarterback a power play. In our simulation he posted similar numbers to his real life season.

Barrie wanted a three-year deal that paid him $4.300 million a year from Nashville, before accepting a two-year, $4.270 million AAV deal from the Ottawa Senators.
Ottawa seems like they are looking to pursue defensive defensemen or give their young prospects a chance on the blue line, so we feel this move is unlikely in real life. It would also be surprising to see Barrie get so much money this late in free agency after being scratched for nearly half of last season.
With Torey Krug out for 6-8 weeks the St. Louis Blues could be a suitor for Barrie, as he could step directly into Krug's role. Chiacgo, San Jose, or any other team who could struggle for offense would make sense for Barrie's skillset.
