Jacob Markstrom trade to New Jersey fetched a few interesting returns in NHL 24
It's been no secret that New Jersey desperately needs a goaltender like a fish needs water to survive. They've been linked to Calgary netminder Jacob Markstrom and have reportedly come close to striking a deal to bring him to New Jersey.
Well, no trade has gone through yet, and now the Flames are saying they will be holding onto their goaltender for the rest of the season.
Even with the Flames organization coming out and saying that, it wouldn't stop me if I were New Jersey in continuing trade talks with Calgary to acquire the Swedish goaltender.
We attempted multiple, and I mean multiple, trades with New Jersey in our latest simulation in the video above. This was an interesting experiment, to say the least.
