Roy and Demko are great value cards

Continuing our series of players who can help your team for 100,000 coins or under in Hockey Ultimate Team, today we decided to take a look at goalies. 

Goalies are the most unpredictable and hotly debated position in HUT, with a variety of different opinions on what the best approach is to building your tandem. 

That being said, these five goalies are great value and have been solid performers since the most recent tuner update.

89 Style Icons Patrick Roy - 70k 

After the most recent patch changed abilities for goalies, the Light Work Zone Ability and Silver Butterfly Effect Ability have made this Roy card a fan-favorite. 

With improved save ability against wrist shots and better movement in the butterfly, Roy could be what your team needs and he can be found for 70k. 

89 Team of The Week Jacob Markstrom - 75-80k

Every edition of Markstrom from his base card to this TOTW has been a popular choice this season. 

Standing at 6'6 this is Markstrom's highest rated card of NHL 24, his size and positioning combined with his butterfly ability make him worth rostering for any team at this price. 

89 All-Star Connor Hellebuyck - 70k

Hellebuyck is a well-rounded goalie with great positioning and great low glove stats that help him defend against dekes. 

While Hellebuyck does not have a Zone Ability that will help your team much, his accelerator synergy certainly will. 

He can be found in the Auction House for 70k. 

90 Gallery of Greats Terry Sawchuk - 70-75k

Sawchuk represents the other perceived meta goalie meta, small and quick. 

Coming in at under 6 feet is not ideal for some players, but Sawchuk's quickness combined with his Light Work Zone Ability makes him an intriguing card that is ideal for certain players' play styles. 

Additionally, Sawchuk is one of the few goalies in the game who plays without a mask, so he is a great addition for those who enjoy that cosmetic feature. 

91 Star of The Month Thatcher Demko - 90-95k

Demko is another goalie who has been fairly popular for the entire season. His size and positioning stats fit in with many people's ideal goalie build.

What truly makes this an intriguing card is Demko's abilities. He has the Post to Post Zone Ability that improves his ability to defend cross crease shots, and he has both the Light Work and Butterfly Effect Superstar Abilities that improve his stats against wrist shots and when dropping into the butterfly.

Anytime you can get a 91 for under 100k it is worth a shot, add in Demko's abilities and he is fantastic value.
