Fox and Hedman are worthwhile purchases

One of the keys to success in Hockey Ultimate Team is building yourself a roster without bankrupting yourself.
With the constant release of new cards and content sometimes it is hard to stay on top of which players are now meta and which players are underrated.
Lets take a look at five defensemen you can purchase for 100,000 coins or less in Hockey Ultimate Team that will help you compete.

HUTVerse Ryan O'Reilly - 90k
Kind of cheating here, but HUTVerse O'Reilly is a solid defenseman. This event featured a re-imagining of several NHL players playing different positions.
His elite defensive stats make him a solid shutdown defender, but his natural build as a forward allow him to thrive in offensive zone cycles. This unique card is a worthy of rostering.
This card can be found for 90,000 coins.

89 Team of The Week Brock Faber - 88k
The Minnesota Wild rookie's card has become a quietly popular card among lower level teams.
Faber has elite agility and balance and with synergies enabled his skating can be boosted.
Despite an average shot, Faber's skating and defensive stats make him hard to knock off the puck and allow him to play above his rating.
This card can be found for an average of 88k.

90 TOTW Adam Fox - 90-95k
This Fox card is an elite skater and passer. With synergies enabled his shot can become a threat. His stick checking makes up for his lackluster hitting skills.
With speed the name of the game in higher divisions this card should be able to hang with most other teams.
This card was listed multiple times between 90 and 95k in the Auction House.

88 Milestone/90 Live Moments Victor Hedman - 75k-100k
Once again cheating a bit here, but both of these Hedman options are playable defensemen depending on your budget and what you are looking for.
Hedman's height has long made him a popular player in HUT and this year is no different. His size makes up for his average speed while his shot and defense make him an elite shutdown player.
On elite teams both cards can play a penalty killing third pair role, while he could comfortably play on the top two pairs on lower level teams.
Both the 88 and 90 card can be found for 100k or under.

90 All-Star Ray Bourque - 90-95k
Bourque is just an incredibly balanced card with good skating, checking and defense stats.
Already featuring 99 wrist and slap shot accuracy, Bourque's shot can be boosted with both his synergies making him an elite shooter from the back-end.
If you are looking for a great way to round out your squad you can buy a Bourque card for anywhere from 90-95k.
