David Pastrnak and Noah Dobson highlight releases
The January Star of The Month Cards have been released in Hockey Ultimate Team. The release includes 20 players from leagues all over the world.
There is a SOTM Choice Pack Set available in exchange for 20 SOTM Collectibles, this pack gives you a choice of two cards.
The six NHL players who were released are available as Master Set Players, Sam Reinhart is the cheapest, costing 80 collectibles.

Some highlights among the releases:
- Noah Dobson's card is tied as the eighth highest rated right-handed defenseman released in HUT and would be a dream for any team.
- David Pastrnak's card is an absolutely elite sniper and it is likely he will be a staple in professional lineups going forward.
- Mikko Rantanen's card is an elite offensive player who is perfect for working the puck in the offensive zone.
- Morgan Rielly receives his highest rated card of the year and is a fantastic offensive defenseman.
- Connor Bedard's cousin Gavin McKenna has been lighting it up in the WHL and is rewarded with a speedy card with good hands. This card may be prone to getting knocked off the puck easily but should be an affordable offensive boost.
- Oscar Lindberg and Mark Jankowski are power forward type players who can be added lower in your lineup for cheap.
- Many of these 84 overall cards have average stats but have one boosted category or stat to raise their overall. Ultimately they are not good enough to crack most lineups but if you are looking to fill out a certain skill or ability they retail for cheap in the auction house.
